Sheila Faulkner-Loser joined the Lake County Campus team as the new Director of Special Programs in July 2018, first providing oversight for the Middle College High School program with the Konocti Education Center next door as well as other programs in the future.

Prior to joining YCCD, Sheila was the Upward Bound Project Advisor in the North State for UC Davis, based in Redding. She has also served as the Student Resource Specialist for Riverside City College working in collaboration with the Riverside County Office of Education’s Alternative High School where she provided direct service to over 2,000 at-risk and foster youth throughout the Inland Empire with their post-secondary pathways.

Sheila has been working with young people encouraging them to pursue their education for the past fourteen years. Sheila received her Master of Science degree in Higher Education with an emphasis in Leadership for Student Success from Walden University. Sheila earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Phoenix in Human Services and Management. Sheila holds two Associate Degrees from Mt. San Jacinto Community College, Associate of Arts in Humanities and Associate of Arts in Social and Behavioral Sciences. Sheila’s work with students has been featured in various trade publications, newspaper articles, and television shows. She now brings her passion and dedication for students to Lake County Campus where she will continue to, “serve as many students as she can, one student at a time.”
