Annette Lee was born in the East Bay Area and raised in Lake County, California. She holds a Career Technical Education clear teaching credential, a bachelor’s degree in History from Sonoma State University, is certified in school business management by UC Riverside, and graduated with honors from the University of Nevada, Reno with a master’s degree in Business Administration. She is actively pursuing her Doctorate in Educational Administration and is recognized as a successful consultant and entrepreneur; a highly skilled marketing, product development, and procurement manager; a highly motivated educator; and a tireless community servant.
Annette began working for Lake County Campus in 2007 as a part-time business instructor. As a seasoned community college educator, Annette was instrumental in community outreach, curriculum development, course outline development, and Student Learning Objectives (SLO) development and assessment during her tenure of service at Yuba College. From 2015 through 2018 Annette served as the Executive Dean of the Colusa and Lake County Campuses of Woodland Community College, and now serves as the College’s full-time Business and Management faculty member.
Ms. Lee leverages her long and varied experience in high tech, logistics consulting, and start-ups to the benefit of her colleagues and students at Woodland Community College. Prior to teaching and serving as Executive Dean, Annette was a Senior Consultant at Ernst & Young LLP focused on supply chain projects in the Bio-Tech industry. At Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. she developed a strategic procurement consortium aimed at improving efficiency and reducing cost for companies such as Cisco Systems Inc. and National Semiconductor. She has also held Program and Product Management positions at Spin Media Network Inc. and Sun Microsystems where she provided strategic direction and overall management for B-to-B e-commerce applications. As a FedEx Freight Product Manager, she led the development of portfolio products to extend the reach of Fed Ex services into the lucrative China market.
As an arts enthusiast, Instructor Lee (once AKA ‘Miss Annette’) owned and operated Konocti Dance Academy which she founded in 2007. She taught dance at Lower Lake High School and served as the volunteer choreographer for Lower Lake High School’s show choir – the Blue Notes – from 2008 through 2014, earning the title of LLHS Volunteer of the Year in 2011. Annette has also served the community as a certified Hospice caregiver, is a board member of the Middletown Area Merchants Association, and is the Vice Chair of the Lake County Advisory Board of Workforce Alliance of the North Bay.
Annette lives in South Lake County with her husband Shane, daughter Fiona, and son Jay.
