Steve Wylie, Executive Dean for the Lake and Colusa County Campuses, joined the Woodland Community College team in August 2015. With 28 years of management experience in diverse industries including banking, software development, entertainment, and retail, Steve brings knowledge, expertise, and a sense of humor to the administration offices at both campuses.
Steve received a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix in 2004 and a Master of Arts in Communication from Missouri State University in 2018. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in English and Theatre from Alma College in Alma, Michigan, in 1979. In the community, Steve serves on the Community Board of Adventist Health Clearlake hospital, the Board of Directors for the Lake County Economic Development Corporation, and shares the Education seat on the board of Hope Rising with the Lake County Superintendent of Schools. He is passionate about the value of education in our community as a way to provide new opportunities for people in their careers and in life.
Steve lives in a lakefront home in Clearlake with his husband and two dogs, Sherman and Stella, that they bought in October 2013. In his spare time, Steve loves to travel and explore new places. His bucket list includes traveling around the country in an RV visiting all the national parks and presidential museums and libraries.
